Mechanicville School Building Proposal

MECHANICVILLE SEPTEMBER 3- In a joint meeting of the School Board and the public , Building Committee chairman John Taglione outlined the steps his group has taken. The committee was formed about a year ago. The committee members wanted input from the community and have sought the advice of: school teachers, custodians, PTA, booster clubs, the Chamber of Commerce and other groups. Taglione wanted a transparent process.

Mechanicville SD Hopes to Move Forward with Building Project – by Sam DeCelle

The Mechanicville Jr. Sr. High School/Elementary School is hoping to get a much- needed make over. School Superintendent Dr. Michael J. McCarthy and Chair Person John Taglione, of the Exploratory Facilities Committee, are working on a plan that could possibly lead to the building project in the district that would renovate many areas of the existing building.

Carmine A. Taglione - 66

MECHANICVILLE – Carmine A. Taglione, 66, died Saturday morning May 23rd at home, in the safe and loving company of his family, and after a long and courageous battle with melanoma.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 AM at All Saints on the HudsonSouth Church, 121 North Main St., Mechanicville.  Entombment in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the North Main Street Church on Monday from 3-7 PM.In lieu of flowers, remembrances are urged to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital in loving and respectful memory of Carmine A. Taglione.
