Waterford Town Police Arrest Report

On Saturday, June 13, 2015 at about 3:30 AM Sgt P. O’Connell observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner. Upon stopping the vehicle and through investigation it was ascertained that the operator had been drinking. The operator was arrested and upon being processed was found to have a B.A.C. of 0.15%. The defendant is identified as:

Kyrstie E. SHERIDAN, 23, of 7 Cindy Way, Cohoes, NY

SHERIDAN was charged with:

Failure to Keep Right

Driving while Intoxicated

Driving with more than 0.08% alcohol

The defendant was issued UTTs and is scheduled to appear if Waterford Justice Court on July 2, 2015 at 6 PM.

Waterford Town Police Arrest Report

On Wednesday, June 10, 2015 Police Officer Michael Dilbone responded to the Waterford School Age Child Care Program at the Waterford-Halfmoon School for a report of missing funds. Upon arriving and through investigation it was ascertained that $3,135.00 was missing. The funds were collected as tuition payments for the program from parents and are used for programs for the children and operating expenses. Two employees of the program were identified as suspects.

On Thursday, June 11, 2015 Police Officer Michael Dilbone arrested the two below listed defendant who were charged with:

Grand Larceny 3rd a class “D” Felony

Conspiracy 5th a class “A” Misdemeanor

Heather J. OLSEN, 27, of 12 Grace Street, Waterford

Trezure L. ROBERTS, 24, of 170 Remsen Street, Cohoes

Both defendants were arraigned by Town Justice David Fusco in Waterford Justice Court. Both were remanded to the Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00/$10,000.00 bail/bond.

Horse Owner Sentenced to Jail for Failing to Provide Proper  Sustenance to   Horses

SARATOGA - Saratoga County District Attorney Karen A. Heggen announced today that Duane D. Carpenter, dob 3/13/59, of 21 Brookline Avenue, Albany, NY, was sentenced today in the Greenfield Town Court by Hon. Michael P. Ginley, to serve 6 months of weekends in the Saratoga County Jail for his conviction of two counts of Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance to two horses in December, 2013. The horses lived at 131 Wilton Road, Greenfield, NY at a farm owned by Carpenter. Carpenter waived his right to ajury trial, and was convicted of two counts of violating Agriculture and Markets Law Section 353 by Judge Ginley who presided over the multiple-day  bench trial.

   Ginley sentenced Carpenter to serve 6 months of weekends of jail, the first weekend to commence this Friday, June 12, 2015 at 5:00 pm. Additionally, Carpenter was sentenced to pay restitution to the SPCA of Upstate New York in the amount of $2,403.00, together with a 5% surcharge of $ 120.15, for a total of $ 2,523.15. That restitution is to cover the expenses incurred by the SPCA of Upstate New York for the work and services they did and provided for the

horses during the pendency  of the case.  That amount is to be paid  in full by June 9,  2016.
